New Firefighters at a recent Training
Fill out the Form Fill-able application online and print, or
print the application and fill it out. Mail the application to the
Geyserville Fire Protection District PO Box 217 Geyserville, CA 95441.
GFPD Staff will contact you when we are ready to bring on new volunteers.
You will be contacted for an interview and if you are accepted we will put you
through basic Firefighting skills training.
Requirements:
- Be 18 years old or older
- Live and/or work within the Geyserville Fire District Boundaries
- Have reliable transportation
- Be physically fit, enough to complete the strenuous requirements of firefighting.
- Be willing to learn
Training:
- No previous training requirements.
- We Provide CPR Training/Cert.
- We provide required First Aid Training.
- We provide over 120 hours of Firefighting and EMS training.
Expectations:
- Attend 13 week training academy consisting for four of training on Thursday night and eight hours on Saturday.
- Complete 6 month probationary period after your training academy.
- Attend 75% of regular weekly training (Monday 7-10pm)
- Respond(at scene or standby) to 25% of GFPD calls for service.
- Spend the night at the Station 1, one night a month to supplement the paid staff.
